Quick Start Instructions Follow the steps below to begin using
AuctionAffaireTM.
PC Version
- Save the downloaded file on your computer's desktop.
- Double click on the
downloaded file and extract it to the Desktop.
- Open the "AuctionAffaire" folder by double clicking on it.
- Double click the "AuctionAffaire" application icon.
(Note: you may see an error message indicating that the folder cannot be
found. Click OK and the icon will find the the proper folder.)
- On some PC's you will be prompted to
enter a system user name. Enter any name desired (this will identify the computer the software is running
on and is separate from the user name described below). Note: This step
only occurs the first time the software is opened after installation.
- At the "Login" prompt enter "auction" in the "Username" field and
"affaire" in the "Password" field, and click the "OK" button to log in.
- At the "License and Registration" screen,
enter "demo" for the Registration Code, enter a name for your organization and
accept the software license by checking the box. Then, click the
"Continue" button at the upper right of the screen.
- Select an event from the "Event" drop down list. The event
called "Abracadabra" has some records already entered for demonstration
purposes. The event "Your Event Name Here" is a new event with no data
entered.
- You may delete the original download file if
desired.
As you begin to use AuctionAffaire, refer to the user manual contained in
the "User Manuals" folder inside the "AuctionAffaire" folder for an
explanation of features and functions.
Mac Version
- Save the downloaded file on your computer's desktop.
- Extract the downloaded file (using StuffIt or other such program) and save it
to the Desktop. (Most Macs will begin extracting the file
automatically).
- Open the "AuctionAffaire" folder by double clicking on it.
- Open the "Software" folder
and double click the "AuctionAffaire" application icon
- Enter a user name (this will identify the computer the software is running
on and is separate from the user name described below). Note: This step
only occurs the first time the software is opened after installation.
- At the "Login" prompt enter "auction" in the "Username" field and
"affaire" in the "Password" field, and click the "OK" button to log in
- At the "License and Registration" screen,
